due to the fact that the blocklist button is near the add friend button, i think there should be a confimation pop-up whenever u wish to block someone...

The screen refreshes immediately after adding someone to your blocklist/friendlist with a little notice that says something like "You've added [user] to your [x]list!" You can just read that and take them off of your blocklist easily from the same page.

@lucky- yep, I'm aware that after u blocked someone, a motif will flash... It says " xxx is now on your blocklist! They can no longer contact you." but even though this is the case, there are still many cases wherein users accidentally block someone with the thought that they added them as a friend.. This indicates that though there already exist measures to prevent this misunderstanding to happen, it is still not enough...
Accordingly to some user I've met, they didn't see the notification because they are fully confident that they added someone as their friend.. Plus the notif is found at the top minimizing its visibility... And whether u block someone or add him as ur friend, the same color will appear- green; making it harder for users to notice that they blocked that person accidentally...

There are also other advantages if this suggestion is implemented. By adding a pop-up notif, one might be given time to reflect that he doesn't necessary need to go to that measures just to unfriend him... Note that blocking others would mean by making a gap with him forever.. And who would want that?

This is also the idea that people want a confirmation when releasing a shiny. It's nice and all, but won't really change a thing. People will continue to make mistakes. So like how to solve releasing shinies you should be able to lock Pokemon, I also think the block and other buttons should just be in a different location. Anywhere other than "Contact". Though yes, there is proof that this does happen time to time but making an alert isn't really the best way to go.

@mrinja- yep, ur idea of placing the blocklist button separately is great, but sad to say, the ff problem shall arise:
1. Where should we place it?
2. Won't it make the profile page a little bit crowded adding a setting to the profile setting?
3. It won't solve the problem of "clumsiness". Specially in mobile when u can accidentally click on a button due to its zoom in and out setting...

And even though it cannot cure the disease, at least it can reduced its ailments... So it should be implemented...
On second note, I honestly believe that the case is not like those people who accidentally releases their shinies, since we tend to release pkmn everyday, but we rarely block someone (unless ur a blacklisting addict)...
Besides, what disadvantage can we get by implementing it?

Maybe a simpler response to the issue would be to move the block button away from the add friend button. Maybe put block user after gift plushie just before report user. Gifting plushies and reporting take to different pages, so you would definitely know if you chose the wrong thing there.

@lugia - ur idea is wonderful... But sadly it still won't fully solve the "clumsiness" problem as stated on the last post....
Besides there are still other advantages other than what I've said on the first post (as stated on my last post)... I also see no reason why should we not take the suggestion into consideration, I mean what harm would it create ( as stated on the last post)? And a pop-up saying "are you sure you want to block this user? Confirm, Back " is not that complicated at all... At some point, it is simpler than putting the block button somewhere else...
