I have had this idea the whole time I've been on here (not that long xd) but we have rumbling and a game center do why not mining? You can buy a pickaxe and pick a place to mine (time related?) And you can get eggs PD boxes keys and random things like iron for better pickaxes or a random zubat attack I really want this idea to be added if you do pls give me credit! ~Madison4313

It's more like a different rumbling feel except it's the trainer that's doing it expanding my idea maybe you could invite ur friends and get boosted mining party and mine altogether. Maybe even hiring NPS to ask mine of boost good luck in the mine

I have to agree with breathing. If the idea had more to it, it could be quite interesting.

Why not take some inspiration from Diamond and Pearl and make it into a minigame styled after the Underground?

It could be kind of like a variant of Minesweeper. Items could be hidden on the board and the objective is to clear the board without disrupting the cave (hitting a mine). If you win the game, you get the items you found, but if you caused a cave-in, the items are forfeited. Maybe you can "level up" by winning the game multiple times and earning experience, and the higher level you are, the better/wider variety the items you can find are.

Some of the starting items could be things like gems, evo stones, pearls, etc. When you get high enough level, you could find fossils, veins of gems (groups of 5+ gems), nuggets (same small amounts as you can find on the rest of the site), mega stones, etc. Maybe this feature could implement Retro Fossil Pokemon or other Retro Pokemon known for living in caves that haven't been added to the site yet.

There was an NPC in the Underground who would trade with you. Maybe you can turn in some of the loot you gather (kind of like Leah) for things like boxes, keys, and other items?

it could possibly even be a seperate place to go like the berrygarden...maybe legendaries could be connected to it in the future

...Magearna? I'm not sure what the staff's plans are regarding it, but it would fit in pretty well for a feature involving digging up ancient things. Various Dex entries state that it was made 500 years ago, for one.

If you don't find it outright, maybe you can dig up pieces of something (map, scroll, mural, etc.) and gradually work towards finding it. You could also have the special-colored version available somehow! :o

Love the mining idea, but not the minesweeper idea. The minesweeper idea is better fit for voltorb flip. For mining I suggest for it to be like Abyssal Ruins Styles.
