princess_politoad yeah it is really small especially if you don't know what your looking for and such. There's a suggestion up about getting PM's as part as the tutorial so newbies know where it actually is

Has anyone else noticed their points have stopped accumulating?

I just now did and I went to my PM section to compare PMs sent to new folks in comparison with those listed and I have almost 2 PAGES of PMs sent that did not get counted?

Am I alone in this? Anyone else still accepting new players?

Yeah I posted about that a bit ago. If the users aren’t showing up on your list (if you have more then 15 newbies) it won’t count until people are removed and they show up on your list. Happened to me and it’s why I’m worried about people not leaving the list once they’ve reached lvl 15

@ChikoritaMiningYT - go to the mentoring page and make sure you have the box checked to receive new mentors and save the option.

It seems after a while my offerings of newbies slowed down for some reason but I still get several per day.

It probably depends on how many people come to visit this site and how they do it...idk...but yeah, my box wasn't checked because last time...I had TOO many new users...(and they all weren't doing the tasks like they were supposed to...) XD

Aye, this is old. Are people still taking newbies? I notice I get a LOT more requests than when we first started the program.

Also, none of my newbies respond to my PM, but I'm pretty sure they read it. I notice some of them visit my profile, but still, no responses?

Either the new users are very shy or they think the private messages are just computer-generated, automatic responses they usually get when starting a game or account... :/

Hmm... I dunno. I'm specifically putting effort into making the message a lot more casual (using PH rather than PokeHeroes) but I guess shyness is still a factor.
Or probably just because they don't know that they should respond. I don't want to force them to PM me back though, that just ruins the whole 'friendly mentor' thing.

I think that is a valid observation. We only get 10 minutes to shoot them a PM so them getting a message moments after joining might seem auto generated. I've not had much lucky with them either. I even tried offering a "welcome bundle" of item to get started and some PD but even that didn't entice but a couple :/

@Ravenswing

I suppose if you were to wait till the last possible second, it would be about 15 minutes, but still, that isn’t long...

Unfortunately we all have that issue. Several of us have tried wording out letters differently, offering a "welcome pack" with items that would be useful to get going (everstones, etc) but getting them to write back is very difficult and frustrating. Once in a while we get lucky and one will but rarely.

Don't give up yet. Good luck!
