Robbie and Andor both nod. "That's fair," Andor nudged Robbie, who sighed at him.

"...Alright. My name is Robert Fenn, call me Robbie unless you want the sweet embrace of death. I'm the Royal Wizard, the last wizard in all of Haipshire... Hm. I've known Andor since we were both eight and was technically homeless until about five years ago," Robbie rattled off. "I think that's it. Andor?"

"Andor Quimbley, Prince of Haipshire. At your service. I'm commander of the Royal Guard whether the King likes it or not and trained to wield a bladed boomerang," Andor shrugged. "That is all that comes to mind at the moment but feel free to ask me anything."

"Alright. That's us. How about you," Robbie crossed his arms.

“Well, as I said, my name is Amanita Stipe, I’m a Druid, and that’s it really. I’m in line to be the successor of a branch of the Circle of The Land, and... never mind. But do you have a question for me? I’ve been rattling off questions for the past few minutes, I’m sure you’re interested in me.” She shrugged but smiled again, and picked at her nails.

"What is the Circle of the Land?" Andor asked.

"Any weapons?" Robbie added.

“Ok, so the Circle of the Land is a Druidic Circle made up of different circles for different.... I guess you’d call it Biomes? So you’d have Circle of the Coast who specialise in water based magic and rituals, Circle of the Arctic for ice related things, that sort of thing. They all make up the Circle of the Land. My father is the current head of the Circle of the Great Oak, which is the head of all the Circles. We worship the god Pan, and work to maintain order between the clans and nature’s wishes. We’re diviners and diplomats mainly. That’s where I’m different.” Amanita sighed, rubbing her neck and playing with a loose piece of hair.

Andor nodded in understanding. "...So, no weapons," Robbie raised his eyebrows. "You're a diplomat."

"Diplomacy is honorable," Andor hummed. "And your succession sounds rather important."

"But we need a warrior right now," Robbie but in bluntly.

Amanita smiled. “I did say I was different, right?” She smirked, and got straight to business. “I never said I was a diplomat. The reason I’m marked as different by others is that I was born during one of the greatest storms in the history of my world. According to my father, it was a sign I was... odd.” As she said this, she pulled up her sleeve, revealing the hilt of a hidden dagger. “I’m better with staffs. Anyway, I was more violent than the other children. I stood outside in storms, loved the fire and the way it both razed and regrew, and adored the predators and their ways. And I believe the only defence is a good offence, meaning that I trained in combat. Most of us druids do, but we don’t use it until necessary.” She shook down her sleeves, and began rebraiding her hair. “Does that answer your question?”

“Yes,” Robbie and Andor said together.

“Then I suppose we should get started,” Andor smiled, heading towards the door. “While I get the King to sign the papers necessary to allow you to stay in the castle, Robbie will show you around.”

“…Yes,” Robbie nodded, sounding hesitant to agree.

“Fine by me!” Amanita smiled gratefully at the two, and made to follow Robbie. “Thank you, by the way. For not being weird about the whole not from the same dimension thing.”

“I expected something like that. But I never could have hoped for a druid,” Robbie nodded nonchalantly. “But you’re welcome.”

“You’re definitely welcome. And... If there’s anything we can do to make it even less weird, just say so,” Andor nodded. He held the door as he slipped through.

Amanita lowered her head, smiling. “Thank you. I think I’ll get acquainted with the palace hopefully quite quickly.” She looked Andor in the eyes, ears a faint pink. “You too Robbie. If you want I could try and teach you a ritual or two?”

Robbie nodded eagerly. “Please. I’m completely self taught. Completely.”

Andor chuckled slightly, smiling. “I’ll meet up later,” He called, heading down the hallway. Robbie went the other way.

“Alright, I should probably start with the place you get food,” Robbie hummed, glancing at Amanita. He noticed the blush but said nothing. He just grinned.

Amanita nodded, then noticed Robbie’s wild grin. “Food sounds good. You know, falling from the sky does leave you with an empty stomach— what?!” She laughed slightly, staring at him.

“Nooothing,” Robbie shrugged, leading her down a staircase. “You’re blushing a little.”

Amanita scoffed as she followed Robbie down the stairs, almost tripping but just managing to style it out. “So? What, is there some weird law in Haipshire that states that you’re not allowed to blush or something?”

“Yes,” Robbie nodded, tone sharp with sarcasm once more. “You can’t giggle on Tuesday, either. The timing of your blush is a little suspicious,” He glanced back again, still grinning.

“Suspicious how?” Amanita narrowed her eyes at Robbie, but smiling slightly.

"Well, it's just you were talking to Andor and looking straight at him and he was doing that weird smile of his," Robbie rambled. "So, what I'm saying is, you li-ike him."

“What.” It wasn’t even a question, with the bluntness of the delivery. Amanita just wrinkled her brows, and her nose scrunched up.

“I mean, sure, I like him, he’s a nice person, and he’s a prince for Hell’s sake! Is it that bad that I may or may not like the prince?” Amanita threw her hands up in the air in exasperation, and then brought them down to pinch the bridge of her nose.
