I've been entertaining the idea of starting a Pokemon egg collection of unusually colored and patterned eggs (such as Lugia, Hoopa, etc). Is there a way to prevent eggs from hatching?

sadly not in the way you'd think they would work.
The basic answer is no, but if you want your egg not to hatch, the only way would be to get the egg box, which is not visible to the public. :T

I kinda figured that I had to get an egg box since leaving them in the party would be impractical. Thanks.
