Plot: Three months after the events in Hoenn, and the group went their separate ways to relax and catch up on work. Tiger went to three island with Mira, and everything was peaceful until the Kanto region began to fall. Mewtwo is sick and Mew and the legendary birds have gone missing. The Kanto guardian, Mira, was about to investigate this disappearance with the Johto guardian, Tiger, when they were both ambushed and their pokedexes distress signals went off. Now Elm and Oak are baffled, they're searching for both trainers but only managed to find one, Tiger, who is passed out on three island.

Mel grew up in a rough environment that definitely shaped her personalities. As a child she went by her birth name, Aubrey, while living with her mother. Her mother was a bad person involved in some bad stuff, and one day she just didn’t come home. So Mel grew up on her own with her neighbors.
She currently works with the KPF (Kalos Police Force) and works with a few higher-ups. She claims it’s only fun because she gets to fight people legally, but really, she’s happy to help for a change.
Other:
- Constantly feels dysphoric and has “no idea why”— She needs a lot of “off days”
~ She’s still discovering herself. She’s gender neutral but doesn’t understand it yet.
- Suffers from siderodromophobia, the fear of trains
- Cracks way too many jokes to cover up her ~crippling insecurity~
- Actually has a lot of trust issues, and is still hesitant to get to know new people, which was a staggering change from the old Mel everyone used to know.

History:
Connor doesn’t really remember his parents; He spent most of his childhood in the forest with his Aipom, Pom. He jumped around from forest to forest and grew to trust Pokémon more than people. Unfortunately because of that, he missed out on a lot of his childhood. So he acts a lot like a child now.
Other:
- Suffers from pediophobia— fear of dolls
- Diagnosed with synesthesia. He really likes certain voices
- He’s a culinary genius! He really likes testing out new foods and experimenting. It’s like a hobby of his.
- For someone so small, he sure has a lot of pent up rage
- Diagnosed depression; He doesn’t understand what “depression” really means and thinks it’s going to ruin his life if he admits that he has it. Spoiler alert: It doesn’t.

Fun Canon Facts About Them;

• Mel once made her entire team watch Avengers: Civil War with her and now they won’t stop arguing over who’s side they think is right. ~~(Riu and Amat are Team Iron Man, while Aki and Dew are Team Cap. It doesn’t matter that the movie came out a year ago. They won’t give it a rest.)~~

• Connor once sat Mel, Leanne and Xavier down and taught them how to sing Bad Romance. So next time Mel starts singing it during a serious situation, deck her and then blame Connor.

• Everyone refers to Aki and Riu as the “Power Couple” purely because it ticks them off and they’re best friends

• One time Connor burned the kitchen down because he wasn’t paying attention to the toaster

• Simon has not spoken once ever. At least, not that anyone outside of Connor can tell.

• Pom used to have a crush on a Sceptile and nobody will ever let her forget that she went up to him and said “Is that a tree” while pointing at his tail.

• Mel is always the big spoon. No ifs or buts about it. She hates being coddled.

• Connor fluctuate between the big spoon and the little spoon. Not that anyone would know. (Psst, he totally prefers being the big spoon!!)

• Despite all his dramatics, Riu really does have PTSD from his experiences in Kalos and with Mia’s Zoroark

Lion walked towards the lab with his hands in his pockets. He looked at the ground and blinked in slight concern as Elm's email had caught him off guard. The email stated that help was needed in Kanto, but everything seemed fine now. He looked around hoping to find Tiger but couldn't see his friend anywhere. "Something must've happened. I haven't seen Tiger or heard from Mira in like, a month." He said lowly. Snow looked over and nodded before sighing.

"Think something happened?" Snow whispered quietly and blinked.

Robert was re-reading the email as Jamie, JJ, and him walked to the lab. "Think it's something about Mir or Tiger?" Jamie asked.

"Possibly." Robert responded with a nod as he looked over at Jamie before looking down at JJ to make sure she was keeping up okay. "You doing good JJ?"

"Yep yep! Papa R, am I going to meet yours and Papa J's friends?" JJ asked looking up at Robert.

"That you are." Robert replied with a soft grin.

Even if the sighs pointed to it, Drew Paris wasn’t dead. Well. The identity of her was. Kristina Forsythe or August Carter had taken her place. It didn’t matter - she looked much different since the last day she’d seen everyone. And she didn’t mind it.

Faye frowned. “It’s gotta be something. But we need to check it out.” She mumbled and shook her head.

“Sorry I’m late, Snow.” Kimberley tapped Snow on the shoulder as she finally showed up from a business issue.

Lion nodded in response to Faye and walked into the lab. "Oak, Elm!" He called out to the professors.

Snow glanced at Kimberly and smiled. He hadn't seen her for a bit, not since Kimberly had helped him find out his real name, without warning he hugged her. "No it's alright Kimmy. It's great to see you again." He said softly and looked around. He let go of Kimberly and waved to Colin, Robert, Jamie, and JJ. He didn't recognize Kristina, Drew, yet. "Guys over here!" He called out.

Both Mel and Connor were already outside the lab, bickering as usual. It was just what they did, they were siblings. What else are siblings good for?

“Red is a gross color and you know it.”

“Red? Are you sure we aren’t talking about blue?”

“Your eyes are blue!” Connor threw his hands into the air in frustration. “This is stupid.” He huffed, dropping his hands to his sides again.

Mel scowled but didn’t say anything more, simply shoved her hands into her pockets. “Yeah, well, it’s better than being miserable.”

They were both quiet for a few heartbeats. Even Pom was abnormally quiet, though it wasn’t uncommon for Riu to be silent nowadays.

“.. Can we please change the subject?” Connor asked miserably.

“Yes, please. Oh, look at that! Lion, Snow, hi!”

Colin finally tore his eyes away to look from person to person. He could at least recognize voices (which was a good start) but had trouble with appearances. Who the hell is that? He frowned slightly, eyeing Drew up and down for a minute. Whatever. I'm sure we'll all go out for lunch after whatever this is about. Hopefully.

He soon realized he was staring and his gaze darted back to his game. Lum bit his ear impatiently. "Ow!" Colin hissed, looking back at her.

Robert looked around and spotted someone he didn't recognize but felt drawn to. He brushed it off though with a quick shake of his head. She ain't Drew now pay attention to the conversation. He thought to himself before turning his attention back to the conversation at hand.

Colin jumped slightly at Lion's voice. "...Yeah," He nodded hastily, standing up straight after leaning on the side of the lab. "Yes. Thank you."

Oak wasn't too far behind Elm. He gave the clipboard he was holding to a passing assistant and stood beside him. "We told you all about the new distress signal function on the pokedex, no?"

Drew stands up and walks goer a she sees the professors. She adjusts her hair before standing slightly behind the group. Being awkward was fun. She thought it would be hard to talk to them again, anyway, because she’s become so absorbed in August’s friends and August’s life.

Faue teailwd begins Lion and glanced around, waving to everyone. “Hey guys.” She smiled.

Kimberly made a small surprised noise and returned the hug. “Been a bit, huh?” She grinned at him before smiling slightly at everyone else and adjusting her new glasses.

Snow waved to Faye and nodded a greeting, he looked over to Kimberly and nodded. "Yeah, it's been a bit, but it's great to see you again." He said softly and smiled at Kimberly.

Lion waved a greeting to Kimberly and looked over to Elm who continued. "Yeah, Elm invented the feature and Tiger was beta testing it. Why is something wrong?" He asked in concern.

Elm sighed, "unfortunately, yes, something might be very wrong." He said in concern and glanced at Oak.

Kimberly barely kissed Snow’s cheek before turning to Elm and Oak and frowning. “Well. No use saying something’s wrong when you’re not saying what’s wrong.” She crosses her arms.

“Maybe he was beta testing and it went off accidentally?” Faye suggested.

"That's the problem. Two distress signals went off at Three Island," Oak explained quietly. "Either both distress signals glitched, or something is very wrong."

Colin decided to do the dumbest and most awkward thing he would ever do in his life. He took a few steps back to stand by Drew. "Name's Mishoka. Colin Mishoka."

"Is she a spy? If she's a spy then what you're doing isn't EXTREMELY awful," Lum grumbled.
