jack was chasing someone, but at the first part of the chase, jack disapeard, and found himself in the 21st centry, with some more assassins.

Adele is at a point of finishing one of her greatest targets yet, until a portal opens up in front of her.
Adele: What is that? Hears the officers in the distance* I guess this is my turn to leave. Maybe Lily made this portal for me!

Adele walks thru portal which transmits her to this location*

Adele: Lily, I'm back from work! Thanks for saving m-

Adele looks around, slowly realizing that she isn't in her headquarters. She turns back to the portal which already disappeared*
