Um,what type of Pokémon do you need for searching in the tall grass?

You actually need to buy the pokéradar. Then you have to buy the chip for the rarity of pokémon that you want to find. Other then that, you need to already have the pokémon that you are searching for in your pokédex.

You have to buy the Egg Radar, not the PokéRadar.
Also, you need to have the eggdex for the pokemon you're searching for. You don't have to own the pokemon, but you have to have the eggdex for it - in order to find it in the tall grass. (Excluding legendary pokemon)
