I think it is time we get rid of the untrade-able status that has been placed on several major Pokemon. It is pointless to have such a thing in place (as well as the whole mega-able situation when every pokemon that can mega evolve should be able to mega evolve i.e. Gardevoir -> Mega Gardevoir ) we need to be able to trade what we want to when we want to without weird restrictions. (We can discuss selling situations later)

The reason to make Pokemon un-obtainable is to give it an achievement. Currently the un-trade-able Pokemon are Dex rewards (in the first spoiler below), a special anniversary Pokemon (second spoiler) and an event Pokemon (third spoiler).

As for the later, it's to encourage this idea of exclusivity, similar to the prior idea of having a sense of achievement. No pain, no gain.

Or so my two cents on the matter goes.

I don't think it's absolutely necessary to have them be tradeable, but I don't think it hurts either. So I'm pretty neutral on the idea.

Let's not make a literal storage box glitch breedable, though. I don't think nature works that way :p

Definitly no support. Each Pokemon that isn't tradeable has a reason to not be.

Shadow Mewtwo and MissingNo aren't because they are part of quests, and selling them would ruin the fun.

The other legends gained from Dex completion are not tradeable because they are from, well, dex completion. Again, there would really be no use to complete the dex if you could just buy them. Not to mention that they are also breedable- although much patience is needed, Im sure there are people who would breed and sell these legends for living.
