It's been a strange week in the daycare, when there are days that the daycare is overflowing and has eleven to fifteen eggs pending and other days when the daycare produces one here and there every couple of hours. I question the effectiveness of the flutes and my own foolish decision to keep purchasing the flute pack; while I can see the immediate benefit of the blue flute, the black flute is influenced by chance. And this is my dilemma.
As a shiny mega hunter, I can search the site to find out that my chances of hatching a shiny pokemon is 2.75 %. Great! I know what to expect. Correct me if I am wrong, but do we do not have the same kind of information available for breeding? As in, what percentages of an egg hatching exists between the different matches such as;
"The two prefer to play with other Pokémon than each other."
"The two don't seem to like each other."
"The two seem to get along."
"The two seem to get along very well."
"The two seem to match perfectly."
What is the baserate that the
black flute doubles?So! I find myself questioning the effectiveness of the flutes. But what is "effective" to me and what others view as effective could be different. After all, I am still foolish enough to keep purchasing the flutes with the hope it will help my hunt.
Over the next little while, I am going to start to record how many eggs my daycare produces (with black flutes). If anyone else wants to join in, or discuss the same, please! At the end of this, with enough backing, maybe we will have enough information to bring forward to make a suggestion on how to improve the flutes; or maybe its doing its job and I am not giving enough credit where due!
