Depending on how the Ringmaster felt, after the show, depended on how many unnecessary lashes you'd get from his whip - just for his entertainment. It wan't uncommon to see more than a few welt-scars on a 'freak'. He didn't care how young they were, or how fragile they were - the weaker, the better. He only kept them around for their unique powers, thus, making him rich.
Super strength. Super speed. Psychic abilities. Elemental abilities. Rapid healing. Shape shifting. Animal taming. Spell casting. These were just some of the possibilities.
These kids and young adults were mutants and were, mostly, sold to the circus. Some, arrived willingly due to having no where else to go. Many never saw their families again. Many never lasted more than a few weeks. In fact, there were very few original members left as many 'disappeared'. But, they all knew that they'd been killed off for one reason or another.
For some, this was their way of life. They'd been here, pretty much, since birth. Many had the common sense to not dare try an escape act because of the risk of being caught. Also, where would they go? Technically, they'd be homeless. But with enough will power, and their physical powers, they would, surely, be able to pull through.
Some time after their great escape, a search is held to retrieve the mutants. Not to take them back to the circus. But by a totally new group named The MO (The Mutant Order). They'd been paid by the circus to capture the mutants so they can assess and experiment on them...

Alexander obviously got the short end of the stick, standing at 5'3". He has pale blue eyes and black hair. His eyes are an electric blue, and some are scared off the way they look when he sets his eyes on them. He tries not to make eye contact due to this. His hair is short, parted onto the side to the right. He is skinny and thin, and he is very lanky. He has the freckles dotted all over his body in large amounts. He is pale as all heck, and he has quite feminine features. He has long lashes and a button nose, with high cheekbones and wide, doe like eyes. He wears a black dress that hangs to his knees, and it nearly falls off his shoulders. For shows, he dresses up in a nice black dress so that crowds believe the group is treated well. There are holes in the dress for his big, white wings. They're almost as big as him, and the feathers are different shades of white. Some feathers are grey, even.
Because of how fragile he is, he has a lot of scars and bruises and open wounds. His main scars are on his back, and his back is just riddled with thin, long red lines. Some are a lighter pink, and some are even almost white from when he was so young. But he can remember each incident and mess up that got him each individual scar that makes up his maze of a back. His bruises... They come and go. At the moment, he has three on his tailbone, two on his wrists, one on his cheek, and one on his left thigh. He walks with a limp due to an incident in which the circus master accidentally snapped his ankle. His ankle wasn't treated, and it mended together extremely wrong. His foot looks normal, but along his ankle it looks bumpy and is consistently swollen. He can barely walk on it.
Personality:
He's short tempered and fiery. He's extremely introverted. He is quiet and cold to most until you make him angry. He will spout angrily and loudly, and he often gets emotional when he yells. When he's quiet, he's usually thinking about everything that could go wrong, since he has some pretty high anxiety. He is very hotheaded.
Power:
He has wings. They come from his shoulderblades. This obviously means he has thin bones so that he can fly, meaning he is extremely weak and fragile.

Appearance: 5'11" and still growing, Marius is confident in all he does. His hair is on the shorter side, the ends burned off, naturally a vivid blue. He wears button ups with sweaters over them giving a cute dual layered look. Is very nonconventionally handsome, with sharp pirahna teeth. He has very long almost elf like ears, with four piercings in the right ear and five in the left. He has sharp slanted blue eyes hailing to his korean heritage, and the dark skin of his Polynesian side. He's very proud of how these features manifested in him. He has a very flat nose. Has various scars littering his body, both from the circus and from before. (Main scars: big burn scars covering his back+shoulders and arms)
Personality: Hes loud and daring, very reserved upon meeting new people, and is only ok with touching those he's met before. His regular speaking voice is loud and booming though.
Power: Water manipulation. He's always a little damp to the touch.

Was a lot more open and care free until he was betrayed by his ex-boyfriend Xipil who attacked other members of the circus in an attempt to lighten the load and maybe be treated better. Has burn scars from trying to save someone during Xipils attack. The only reason it didnt kill him was his natural protections against fire being a water user. He doesnt talk about his history with new people, only original members would really know about it.
Dream: To be doing what he loves safelty, with someone he can love and trust.
