It was early morning. A girl in Iki town named Nino got dressed, her Tyrogue standing next to her as she left and watched a Ferry arrive. On that Ferry was a girl named Jalisa, arriving from Poni island with a Jangmo-o on by her side.

Mira fanned herself as the boat she was on--the S.S Anne--pulled into the port on Melemele Island. "A lot hotter here than it is in Kanto," She mumbled to Growlithe, who was lying down next to her. The Pokemon barked in agreement, but didn't seem to care--she was a fire-type, after all.

She unzipped her hoodie and tied it around her waist, grabbing her bags and backpack, and getting off of the boat.

(lolzor I can't think of another boat name so HERE HAVE THE S.S ANNE)

"You new here as well?" Jalisa asked Mira. "You're wearing a sweatshirt and it's Alola. Lemme guess.... Kanto?" She said. Her voice sounded a little cold and she hated it. Jangmo-o lept into her arms.

Nino turned away and began walking down the path to the Professors.

Regardless of the somewhat cold tone, Mira replied cheerfully: "Is it that obvious?" She chuckled. "Where are you from? I honestly can't tell, so..."

Venus shook her head as she watched Aetern try and touch the water from the dock."Your gonna fall in you crazy pokemon."She tells him while pulling him away from the edge."I swear if I didn't know better I would claim that you were a water type."Aetern turned and gave her a nasty look at that."Oi don't give me that look.There is a reason I said that mister."

Cora watched as the Ferry arrived. She jumped off the boat with her backpack. Her Deino was sitting on her shoulder. She grinned devilishly as she stood up.

Nino had accidently run into a wild Pichu. "Mon! Use tackle!" She said, engaging in battle with the wild electric type.

Rainer sighed exiting the S.S. Anne holding his Oshawott who was squirming near the water. "I know you want to swim Buddy, believe I do too, but we have to get the hotel and cone up with a battle plan."
The Oshawott tilted its head and Rainer rephrased trying to explain it again "We eat. I change out my uniform. We swim at the pool in the hotel."

Mira nodded in agreement. "Well, I'm new here, so I don't have much of a clue to the problems of Alola," She said half-heartedly. "If I knew what was going on, that would be a miracle. Hopefully it's not too serious..."

Gem was running towards the Ula'Ula Island dock. Shoot, I missed the ferry. It's okay, I can always get on another one going to the same place. She thought. She spotted a beaten up rowboat with a man on it. "Um, excuse me, do you go to Melemele Island?" She asked. The man nodded, so she climbed in. The man began to row towards Melemele Island at once.

Gem's Rockruff poked it's head out of her bag. She gave her Rockruff a smile. She had just gotten her Rockruff as a gift from her mom before she headed out on her adventure. She had been told that the Rockruff was a girl. The Rockruff scrambled out of the bag and onto Gem's lap. She gave Gem's face a small lick. Gem smiled, and gave her Rockruff a head rub.

Nino's Tyrogue hit the Pichu with tackle but it retaliated with Thundershock. Tyrogue used low lick, getting it's HP low enough for Nino to throw a Pokeball successfully.

"Yeah. The weather's been getting odd and stuff, though. And lots of different Pokémon are arriving." Jalisa explained.

When Gem stopped giving her Rockruff a head rub, her Rockruff went over to the side of the rowboat. Rockruff lowered one of her paws into the water, and managed to touch it. She tried to put her other paw in, but Rockruff then saw a Pokemon under the water. Rockruff was so intrigued that she didn't realize that she was slowly slipping off of the rowboat.

Gem wasn't watching her Rockruff. She looked back and only saw it's two bottom paws still on the rowboat. She quickly grabbed Rockruff by the torso, and pulled her back out. "You goofball." She said in a semi-teasing and semi-concerned voice. She took a towel out of her bag and began to wipe Rockruff's wet spots.

Nino grasped the Pokeball in her hands, then sent out the Pichu. He had a tuft of hair on his head, out of place from normal Pichus. "Hmm... I'll name you Gold. 'Cause your hair looks golden." She smiled at the Pichu, who Jumped on her head.

Nino continued walking to Professor Kukui's on the winding mountain trail.
