No, the title IS supposed to be that.
It's a creepypasta/horror themed story where a glitch turns into a virus that slowly destroys peoples computers from the inside before infecting the owner of the computer slowly and painfully, making them spit up---
Actually, lets not get into the specifics--
Minor mentions of coughing up blood!
Noo, my sweet disguise, where are you--
Oh wait, yeah, I'm a fan of minor, not hook-through-neck gore

It started out as a harmless prank.
<hi
Would show up as a showComments('2017-07-02 201726', 779863016); when first viewed.
But it escalated.
Quickly.
No, try it in someone's comments! Heck, I have a post where most of the comments are <{text}!
I'm actually not joking, try it in the feed I shared this with you.
If you think I'm lying, or it wont show up for you, it might have been fixed. Probably has.
But those of us who did it ended up regretting it.

Here are the symptoms:
First, your files slowly become named showComments('2017-07-02 201726', 779863016);
And then your background becomes showComments('2017-07-02 201726', 779863016);
And then your computer crashes, unable to turn on.
You might have taken it to a repair shop. The insides fried.
The next morning, your coughing up blood. You can't speak. You feel as though your dying, but you aren't.
Your insides slowly become fried themselves.

But we didn't learn this till much later.
We were having to much fun.

I opened one of my .txt files the next day.

"What the heck!? This was a story I had!" I cried, quite a few hours having been poured into the story, the next chapter of Survive. Sighing, I tried to recreate it.
S... O... R... A... I typed, but what happened was show
I continued to type random letters, but it came out as showComments('2017-07-02 201726', 779863016);.

I sent a friend the .txt file, and she said she saw "Sora adjsjxlzasmx, zojfmsajdnmccnzxlifj zcncanspcoijaoipjijmxikzmijmidfmisdmiipleasehelpmeimjustputtingrandomlettersintothisuntilnowjdsxkcoocsdfmiomsiodiocmimxooifdijisdospokeheroes.comiscoolsfikaskxoakkoabringbackdigihero.essokoxoksxsmczximucusus", not showComments('2017-07-02 201726', 779863016); over and over.
Sighing, it had to be my computer.
The next day, it wouldn't turn on. My parents brought it to a repair shop.
"No, its fried. No clue how that happened. Here, take this." He said, giving us a new windows computer for a discount.
Logging into the website the showComments('2017-07-02 201726', 779863016); originated on, I coughed and a red liquid splashed onto my computer.
"Guys, we need to warn the others."
"You're having the symptoms to, aren't you?"
"Yeah. New computer and everything."
A minute of silence.
"Just posted a feed saying not to do what we did."
"K."
"We really messed up, didn't we."
"We lied, we cant go on, this is the time and this is the place to be alive."
"Please, stop. That makes me think of 'DRINK THE POTION', and that makes me cough up more blood."
"Ahaha."

She wasn't online for a few days. I heard a story about my friend.
Her insides had been fried.
Dead.
Oh god.

I fell asleep then and there, a final thought going through my head:

A few days later, a news story about my death was over the news. I'm on the afterlife right now, as we speak.

Don't do the < thing.
showComments('2017-07-02 201726', 779863016); is nothing to laugh at.
We died.

Rosie
Chapter 1
A young, dear loving girl who lives in the forest with little technology.

I walked through the forest, my sketches in my hands. My hair, a brown color, trailed behind me.
I'd heard the news. Two of my best friends had died. 'Their insides were fried, like a computers'.
Ugh, adults, they think they know all the answers. Well, I sure didn't, but Kara probably did. I would see her tomorrow on Monday.
