(Sign-Ups!)

Everyone starts on the rocket, about to take off. It's unlike our current rockets; it is big, with rooms and living quarters for each volunteer. Since this trip may take a day or two, and the planet may not have the natural resources to build, you may spend much of your time here.



Mira sat on the chair, in her space uniform, facing upwards as the rocket was. This is it. No turning back now. She thought, sighing. She buckled herself into the chair.

Papi giggled has he lept into his seat, but cried out when the chair did a catapult action and sent Papi flying. After a brief spell of confusion, Papi shot back up and sat down again...carefully this time. "Do you think my babies will be alright?" Papi whispered as he buckled himself in.

Lithar hopped into the seat next to Mira."Don't worry babe.Nyx was just a bit anxious that's all."He tells Mira while buckling in."And you took so long in the bathroom I thought you ditch us."Nyx grumbled."Nah this handsome face wouldn't do that."He joked."Unless Mira here wanted to ditch with me then that might be a different story."

"In your dreams," Mira replied, nudging him playfully. "Ugh, I just want to get this part over with," She says more quietly. The simulations of the rocket taking off were always her least favorite.

Mira laughed a little at the two and closed her eyes as well, wishing the others would hurry. "What do you think the planet will be like?" She asks, daydreaming a little.

Oliver lept into his seat, buckling in. He giggled, practically bouncing with excitement. He listened to the others, and hummed softly. "Maybe... Maybe we'll find people?" He said softly, smiling. "A stupid thought, but maybe." He mumbled, shifting with a soft smile still on his lips. Harper got into their seat, silent but with a smile. They buckled in. Their rat, Calypso, squeaked in her little oxygenated cage at Harper's feet. They smiled. Oliver smiled at their rat, always being quite fond of it. Oliver glanced up at Mira and grinned. "Do you think all of earth will think of us as heroes?" He asked, excitment lacing his voice.

"I do," Mira nodded. "No one likes how technology has taken over, I don't think. And... If we do find humans... Who knows what could happen?" She smiled, daydreaming again.

Oliver smiled at Lithar and stuck his tongue out playfully. "I believe we'll all be heroes just for getting on this ship. It takes guts," He hummed, "I'm surprised I got on here." Harper nodded and laughed beside him. "I literally had to carry this one, kicking and screaming, onto the boarding area. He was soooo scared." They smirked, pointing at the boy. Oliver flushed. "Shut up!" He said playfully, smacking their shoulder lightly.

Papi grumbled before settling into his seat. "I hope my Speyeria zerene hippolyta survives the exit of the atmosphere. It's a threatened species!" Papi glanced anxiously out the window by his seat. "Boy...I can't believe I'm actually doing this. I've been through many jungles and plains and...a lot more other places...but not in space. I wonder if I'll find new species of butterflies and moths on this planet." Papi looked at everyone else. "They sure are taking forever blasting us off. I'm not getting any younger!"

"We'll be going soon, I'm sure. We just have to wait for a few more people," Mira assured them, pulling up a video feed of the cargo hold. Her lab equipment and her... "friend" were still perfectly fine. She was starting to get anxious.

"Who else are we waiting for?!" Papi cried as he strained to stare at the cargo hold as well. "See that crate with 200 fragile stickers all over it? That's where all my work is. It better not get hurt or someone's going to die!" Papi had a crazed look before it completely disappeared, replaced with a wide grin.

"Yeah...I'm sure they are!" Papi exclaimed a little too enthusiastically. "So Mira...what are you afraid about? Anything worrying you about this trip?" Papi didn't what else to say. He wasn't the best conversationalist, but he tried.
