Tigerpaw, who was close by, managed to spot an orangish yellow flower. She limped over to it, and instantly got a familiar scent of the herb "is this it?" She said lowly to herself.

(Speaking of books...I looked up what marigold looks like in a warriors guide XD)

Tigerpaw nodded, and continued to gather the herb in silence. The apprentice bit off a few stalks, and placed them in front of her as he created a small pile of the herb.

Ivypaw added to the pile until the three had gathered a nice little tower of herbs. "Alright! I think that's good," She nodded, gazing at the plants. "Certainly enough for Shadow... Lame," She snickered at her father's joke.

Ivypaw grabbed a mouthful of leaves and started back to camp, the aroma of the herbs overwhelming her senses. She half wanted to spit them out, but she kept going.

Tigerpaw followed silently. She was trailing behind the group as her wounds slowed her down. The marigold she had was slightly dragging on the ground.

(Slight bump)

Tigerpaw looked ahead as she tried to continue on. She drew her claws out in an attempt to catch up to Shellspeckle, and Ivypaw. As she did so she saw camp in the distance, her eyes shimmered in relief. "Thank StarClan" she grumbled through the mouthful of marigold.

Ivypaw chuckled and picked up the pace. She entered camp and went into the medicine cat's den, dropping off the marigold.

Tigerpaw placed her share of the marigold in the medicine cat den, and looked up at Shadowflame. The medicine cat went over to the three cats, and sniffed the marigold. "Why are some of these filthy" he hissed and glared at Tigerpaw.

"Sorry.." Tigerpaw meowed quietly, and picked up the dirty stalks. She narrowed her eyes, and limped out of the den.

Ivypaw lashed her tail, but chose to hold her tongue. "We'll try to get clean leaves next time," She assured the medicine cat before leaving the den.

"Let's get out of here." Shellspeckle purred. "Seems like the leaves aren't the only dirty things." he said, looking at Shadowflame's fur.

Ivypaw snickered a bit and followed Shellspeckle out. She quickly licked fur back over one of her cuts to hide it, as it was showing again, but hoped no one noticed.

Shadowflame hissed as the three left. He took the marigold to his stores, but left the dirty ones behind.

Tigerpaw sat outside the medicine cat den, and licked her wounds. She tried to keep herself busy as she did so.

Tigerpaw licked a front paw, and drew it over her ear. She looked up and saw Flamestar walk over to Shellspeckle "so would you mind telling me how you three ended up with scratches?" he asked in a mixture of concern, and suspicion.

Ivypaw glanced up. "I found a thorn in my bedding. I remember getting the moss for the apprentice den all together--I wouldn't be surprised if all the apprentices got scratches from thorns," She mewed. "As for Shellspeckle... I'm not sure."

Flamestar looked unconvinced, but nodded slightly "alright then...be careful about thorns next time" he meowed lowly. "What happened to you, Shellspeckle. A thorn to?" he asked with a tilt of his head.

Shellspeckle remembered about tus scratches. "Oh don't worry 'bout it Flamestar." he replied. "I was sleep walking. I stumbled into a bush, then I walked back to camp to continue my slumber."
