similar to skype and other messaging programs, there should be a feature to add a greeting message when adding a user. it could be optional, of course, but could lead to the other person adding back, palpad conversations, and more. it'd be a cute and useful feature to introduce yourself and encourage further talking and interaction. the person being added might have their palpad locked to friends only, which can limit the person adding the user from introducing themselves there. it'd be less awkward at the start, and give the user a chance to explain why they'd like to be friends, and even explore common interests. it'd simply be easier to have the option to introduce yourself from the start, which, in turn, would make it easier to make friends.

o-o It notifies you when a person adds you so I simply go and buy new friends plushies they're missing to tell them thanks for the add and then I add them back.. So this wouldn't really affect me so much, but I did vote for it because not everyone sees those tiny boxes saying "Soandso added you"

not everyone adds back, however. this could give them a reason to, and could lead to some talking between the two.

Well i'd be on the neutral side becasue i guess the palpad and PM are likely enough things to introduce one's own self and as you said if the palpad is locked by some user it means he don't want to add new friends or he does'nt want someone else in their palpad list and that is'nt valid for all users hence you should've explained few more benefits towards your suggestion hence neutral. :|

i like this idea pokefarm use to do that before they did a add them they wont know thing then the add them to be vip with iconed groups they wont know thing an i like the idea of a give people a chance to exsplaine themselve on why they would like to be ur friend with things they could have in common to talk about, do ect. :)
