after playing sh 2 again - alone, at night and w/ headphones this time - I can safely say that it's my favourite silent hill part. Disregarding the graphics it's themes are timeless. I adore the scenes near the end of the game where the tracks "True", "Betrayal" and "Black Fairy" perfectly flow into each other. During these, James realizes what he's done and it's just the greatest reveal.

Sapphire is a beast??
She passively absorbs enemy's magicka everytime they move, and when she releases her ult it does damage to every one of them and interrupts their attacks. When two fox fires even silence their target. Sadly, she's the first one to die most of the time as she's kinda fragile. But yea they're not kidding w/ the op sx girls.

I'm listening to trust fall on repeat for days, it's cheesy but it speaks to me in so many ways ///

I've been thinking about voices and delivery a lot recently, mainly b/c I'm still on semester break. Naturally everyone has their unique voice, but in music there were always some staples and styles you could pick up. There are also certain songs that are made by their deliverance, b/c they are different and contrast weaknesses/strengths of a certain singer in a particular way.
Take vermillion pt. 2 e.g, taylor's voice is almost restrained by the acoustic, slow guitar but when he breaks at the end it sounds really genuine.

my favourite kanye west album is yeezus, hands down. I know it's regarded as a career dip but I listen to that thing at least once a day haha

doki doki literature club was a really rough ride, but I'm glad I played it

I think I'm starting to lose it
Were you ever looking forward to something so much you forget about anything else in your life? Yea
Attraction is an odd thing you see. It's hard to contain or control, but sometimes it just fades w/o a warning and you're left there, wondering how you've spent your last few months. I hate to be the way I am.

On a lighter note, school started and my feelings are more than mixed, since I already got homework from the first few lectures. Well, nobody said it's gettong easier w/ time.
I'm just hoping I can focus on my studies unlike last semester

Ember came out yesterday and it's freaking great.
Burnley has grown up, so much feelings, so much angst, I'm crying. Still the icey guitars, but damn the vocals improved so much, reminds me a lot of Dear Agony. I'm so happy they continue to make music.

I seriously hoarded so many games again and I love/hate it, because on one hand I should never be bored ever again now but on the other hand: I don't have infinite time, school starts soon enough and once it started I won't be able to play a lot of them.
I guess I'm giving stationary consoles (ps2/ps4/wii/n64/...) my time first as I'm able to play handheld consoles (ps vita/3ds) on the go, to school and back.

dear diary (reader),
I've been doing a lot of thinking these days. Not only negative brooding, but also hopeful expecting. Things are getting better. I just need to get back into planning and keep myself busy. There's a lot to look forward to, some of the upcoming lectures actually sound really interesting and I'm hoping to get invested in those.
Kanye might be dropping new music soonish, at least it seems like it. Periphery is recording either an ep or an lp, and I'm stoked. This year has been great for musicians I listen to and it's (only) just may.
I've been playing/listening/reading/consuming a lot of childhood stuffs and I have mixed feelings about revisiting all of that. In the end I enjoyed most of it though. Being an adult means to accept that the past has passed and can't be returned, only revisited; it will never feel the same though.
Actual ph stuff haha: the event hunt is taking a lot of time and part of me is asking myself why I'm torturing myself w/ a game, but the other one is patient since I should be spending less time here anyway.
W/ my current schedule I have far too much freetime, but that time will probably shrink once the semester is closing in.

I want to get more into reading again (poems esp) and my studies, as I'm straying further and further away from them, making them even less interesting w/ every passing day. It's not that boring after all.
It doesn't mean I'm giving up games and stuff, I just want to divide my time more wisely. There are moments when I feel it wasting away.
I want to leave bad things behind. Why take them w/ me when I need space to handle upcoming inconveniences? Forget and forgive, it's a senseless waste of energy.

Let's hope life/myself won't pull me down too soon, I'm quite enjoying this small high and optimism. Well, you'll find out.

chara notes

aight, I deleted/sold most characters I don't use so I'm only left w/ ones I really like, enjoy drawing and have ideas for. Felt weird to give some of them up but if they just gather dust I rather put them into better homes.

Maybe work on one chara a day, maybe make some coding template. Flesh things out more now that there's only 20 peeps left. Make more art, check that everyone has a clear reference.

I don't do much w/ them all but they're good practice dummies for character development and drawing, so why not take the chance.
