Its really sad news, he was only 27 too. the fact that for so many people the world is impossible to get throu even at the ages of 10-15 - to the point they have to get out of it to get rid of all the pain is horrifying. Not only that the family must be completely devastated and even his sister who got the last and supposed suicide text.
All of his co-members, hoobaes and sunbaes, fans and family will grieve today for so long, it'll be a hard year for Shinee, especially since their contract renewal is soon. I think it would be too hard for the rest of shinee to renew their contract when everytime they perform theres a missing member. thats how scary it is for idols.

I can't say much because I didn't follow SHINee, but a death for anyone is a devastating loss

SHINee has been a name that I've seen often since listening to kpop, they have been around for nearly a decade and helped paved the road for new artists. Many of my friends stan them and are hurting from the news.

Sometimes with depression, people say, "they were taken from us so young", without realizing that, for that person, making it to just that day was a struggle. From someone that has suffered for so long, look instead at what they have accomplished while fighting it, what they have accomplished when all they wanted to do was crawl back into bed, what they have accomplished while every thought in their head was, 'give up, it's not worth it, nothing matters'.

Jonghyun was an incredible person for living with this as he did AND living the stressful life of an idol, and he will be greatly missed. I just hope people (his group members, family, friends, and fans) can find peace with his passing.

I learned about this during school and nearly started crying in class. I'm not a big SHINee fan, but really, i.......AUGH! my friend doesn't even care either. I told her and her response was " good for you" and "cool."... I'm broken and reading that letter.... does not really help.

but to be honest, this may seem rude in a way, but I'm wondering if he will be replaced, or whatnot.

I doubt the company will replace him and risk angering every Shawol + the other band members + other kpop artists + kpop fans in general

if anything they'll probably continue without him after a few months hiatus

im sure he will not be replaced, theres no way he can be replaced
shinee's contract renewal is coming up too so shinee can disband, i cant imagine performing with jonghyun missing
however im really not sure what theyll do

i imagine they might have one more performance to sort of commemorate jonghyun and all that he's done and then they will disband. all of them are going to the army soon as well. taemin will probably continue with his solo performances but idk about the rest... minho and key might be casted in some dramas...

that's true, their contract is ending so the other members don't have to worry about the company making them continue on at least. Hurray for small victories?
