A sentret broke my riolu chain. I was seeing it's page before it hatched and it said it needed 6630 EHP to hatch and medium rarity. Now that it hatched it also it was obtained from lab. I haven't visited the lab for hours.

I'm sorry that your chain broke :\ I'm not saying you did, but it may have been a possibility that you read the stats wrong. I'm not sure on that, but I don't think an egg could randomly go from Medium rarity, and hatch an Easy rarity, a pokemon with 4080 EHP. Well, either way, a 6630 EHP egg and medium rarity is not going to guarentee you a Riolu egg, anyways. Unless the lab egg definitely said its a Riolu, I would be very cautious before picking it up.

In my opinion, when shiny hunting, I'd rarely take an egg from the lab, unless I see an egg that I need, or if I have an Egg storage slot open. It's too much of a risk going to the lab while shiny hunting otherwise.

There may be a chance that you saw a Riolu egg, clicked it, but someone else claimed it before you, resulting you in adopting another egg.
Happened plenty of times to me.
