So this will probably have no BBcode.

My suggestion is this, now mods may be able to update the price check and yes there IS a price check but what I've seen is no update in almost 6 MONTHS. This being said I think either a Mod or a productive active user with good BBcode skills make a new and updated version of the price check who would be diligent at keeping up with it.

This site needs someone active who can pay attention to new items incorperated into the game and be able to set a decent price for the new objects.

I've seen mods shut down many price check pages that were built because it would cause too much confusion but if there are no prices to base off of confusion will still be there. If the price check would update 1 or 2 weeks after a new item is out that would help the frustration of many new and old users.

SO to simplify
New user to consistently update the price check so confusion lessens and is easier for users to know how much to sell and if a user is overpaying/selling a pokemon.

As I said in your feed, and I quote, "I mean I could do it if I could get the already existing code of the old one, but I don't think the mods would let me". I'm willing to do it if the suggestion does get "implented" (not really something to implement, it just needs to be accepted). The reason why I want the code is so that the basic outline is similar, but most of the part will be built from scratch.

So yeah, I support this suggestion ;D

I mean, -Max is already the mod in charge of it, but he hasnt been very active as of late i think, and i would often help him with the pricing whenever he was around because he'd get opinions from a few veteran users to figure out a basis.

I can understand that the mods are busy and have lives but having no update on price check for months has been pretty hard for the community and certain items.

Just keeping it updated by more active users is my suggestion instead of leaving users to question.

Not just that but I know a couple new users who were basically scammed out of their light stones selling it for only 50k because the user said that's what the price was for all of them
SO 100k for 2 light stones the one user got a great deal while the other user was used.

This way if new users join and get good items they will at least know

Maybe just go ask -Max, instead of assuming he'll say no?
The biggest problem I have with duplicates and possibly my fellow Mods do too [even when the original has been inactive for a while], is that they happen without permission. We can't exactly smell what your intentions are, if you just start planting the exact same thread that already exists somewhere.
As already mentioned, it would also become confusing for our users, if there are several, with both being active, because a Mod took over the original one.

Of course, I can't speak for him, but I took over a thread for a while one of many, actually, after the original poster went inactive [SMHG], but as that was a fairly active thread, when I was eventually asked by a user if they were allowed to remake it, I had absolutely no problem with giving permission.
I knew which other Mods needed to be informed, so after a little check with those, I gave permission, because, no matter how much I loved taking care of it for others, I couldn't give it the attention it deserved.

tl;dr - Consider asking for permission, instead of just starting one regardless [and rightfully assuming it'll be locked].

That would be the whole reason for this suggestion is to ask/ see why we don't have a more updated price check that almost every user on here seems to use.
I myself can't BBcode or do most forum posts so I myself can't do it. I'm hoping for a more active user or mod to keep it updated when it's NEEDED for this games trade.

I've seen many users of the last couple months be scammed out of their items because anyone can price the item whatever way they want because there's not technical set price and while yes it is allowed to price your items any way you want but most everyone sticks to the price check prices.

It shouldn't take 6 months to put items onto the price check.

also just a little add on here with this kind of stuff, people like me have trouble pricing things because we can't even tell if the prices in the price check are accurate because of how it's never updated leading us to sometimes under or overprice our items.

Thing is, whatever decision comes out of this thread, it's likely not going to happen, until someone actually talks/asks -Max. If this suggestion decides 'we need a new Price Check', but no one bothers to ask permission, it'll be locked.

Just because the majority votes "support", doesn't detract from the common courtesy of actually asking one of us. I'm not saying 6 months isn't a long time, but this suggestion isn't going to change anything about that. Talking to -Max [or a different Mod] will :/

Updating the guide is a big responsibility, as greggory_lee said, i asked a few (~8 ) veteran users for Their opinion, the last 2 updates I made took close to 2 weeks to make as reading all the posts for users opinion and getting the feedback from all the users takes a little bit of time.
I already thought about making the update a little more public, maybe reuning a few users that are up yo read all the posts and make it up. What I Do with greggory_Lee is make a google spreadsheet then I later check the final prices and update all the code on the thread.

So this being said, I don't have any problem at all if another group of users take the responsibility of updating the prices and then send me the list and I'll update the main thread, I would be more than happy to do this.
I'm not sure if making a new thread would be a good idea, as this thread link is very well known, so as CatLady said, it might cause confusion if a new one is made.

I think especially for new users a price check thing would be wonderful.

I myself am new and have no idea what to price things at, or the rarity even other than what it says in a pokemon's summary.

I think there should be a specific day like once in a week the price check should be updated.
The prices asked mostly are of new pokemons or items released which fluctuate as the demand for them is higher in first two days and then everyone starts breeding them decreasing their price from 50k to 100 pd.
The prices remaining constant are of items and Pokemons released before but everytime a new thing is added the prices changes.
Also I have seen many veterans relying on Price Check too including myself but nowadays its not updated.

Also keeping tag on prices of everything on the site is a big job and requires a time so maybe it should be done by a group of mods or a trusted group instead of just -Max as it might be hard on him to do it alone by himself.
We can do the update price check by asking old players more often to keep the Price Check updated.

Generally, in the month I have been here; I have seen time and time again prices have to be decided on the spot due to the guide not being updated to current prices and some things worth being way too high or too low. I would love to see this guide be updated, and if what Max said is true, hope people are working on this ASAP

Thank you moderators for your service in helping us players with everything you do. I love you all and this site and have very much enjoyed this first month of being here.

Sincerly, Crescent H.

Quote from this~one~catthe old price list is wayy outdated
we need to delete the old one and have someone to code a new one and make sure everyone agrees with the prices

you still have to be aware wether an updated list exists or not, not every user will stick to it and use it for their pricing. i guess its more like a help for newer users to get familiar with value than an official guideline for prices.
