We're so happy you're here! We can take all the help we can get at the Sanctuary! We really hope you'll stay with us and enjoy your time here! After all, Kilos is a magical place!

Kilos is a small, previously
undiscovered island in the middle of the Pacific ocean. It's
terrain and climate is so varied that one part of the island could
be covered in snow, and the other part could be getting warm rain.
No one's exactly sure why the weather is like this, but it allows a
variety of never before seen life to flourish. Most notably, the
Alios.
The Sanctuary was created on the island to preserve the Alios, who are few and far between, and possibly one of the most interesting species to exist on Earth. They come in all colors, shapes, and sizes, sometimes possessing a theme to their design. Alios are considered "magical" because of the odd things they can do, which is part of the reason the Sanctuary was built. It keeps Alios from being hunted or experimented on, while allowing them to run free on the island. However, they can get lonely, so we allow certain people to own some and take care of them! People like you!

There's one right there! That's Aslina, the so-called mascot of the Sanctuary. Don't worry, she can look menacing, but she's pretty sweet when you get to know her!
Alios are somewhere between canine, feline, and a group all on their own. They have the body structures of dogs and cats, four legs, tail, snout, but they come with all sorts of other puzzling features. However, a few things remain constant. Every Alios lacks ears, has feelers, has "hooves", has horns, and keeps the four-legged body structure. Other than that, they have almost everything you can think of, from purple feathers to dark orange scales. Even the things that remain constant tend to vary too! There's seemingly no reason for the differences, but Alios enjoy it, so we don't question it.
Since Alios have no ears, it'd seem that they are incapable of hearing, but it is actually the opposite. Alios have fantastic senses of smell, taste, sight, hearing, and even touch. Since they have no ears, they make up for it with their horns, which seem to have no purpose other than appearance, and feelers. Their feelers can some in all sorts of shapes, and they can act like another set of arms, able to pick up and grab things. Their feelers are also very sensitive, and they seem to be able to read emotions through touch with them. To top off their appearance, Alios have hard hoof-like feet, which also seem to serve no purpose.

As it quickly approaches winter time, everyone's getting in the festive mood! Alios are hoping the last of the falling leaves will turn to snow, and they won't be disappointed when the time comes. Get out those warm socks and the packets of hot cocoa, it'll be chiller soon!
What do the owners hope to happen this holiday season? Maybe some winter adoptables? Which themes do you think would look the best? How about a contest? Discuss and the best idea may be chosen for the winter event! And don't forget to create those Alios if you have a MYO slot.

We have a new co-owner of the Sanctuary and Alios within! Say hello to -Hau! They do not have an Alios, as of yet, but one does seem to be taking an interest...
As a co-owner, they will have just as many privileges as me, and we hope they will be accepted warmly into our community!
