Humans being turned into Pokemon was not unheard of. Pokemon turning into humans was not unheard of, but highly disgraced. But Pokemon or Humans turning into some hybrid?

But this is another world. Humans don't exist. Neither do Pokemon. Instead, there are hybrids of the species, called gijinkas. They don't know of the other worlds. Legendary Gijinkas do exist, but they don't have Arceus's gifts like the Pokemon do.

There are bad gijinkas who try to hurt others. There are gijinkas who get lost and need assistance. And that's why the Guild Teams were formed.
