It's kill or be killed, in this ruthless world.
And most want to live.
Sora was walking home when she heard someone scream "Help!" She ran to help, and found two pokeballs. One held a torchic with a melted right eye and a limp, and the other a treecko who seemed ill.
"The treecko is ill with a fatal disease! I'm getting herbs to help it, but will die if its put in a fight!" Professor Acacia screamed, being chased by the mightyena.
Sora picked up the ball for the torchic. "Hello Warren." She said to the torchic. She sent him out into battle.
Battle initiated!
"Use ember!"
The torchic inhaled, and than exhaled bits of coal, which burst into flame when coming in contact with the air. When the mightyena's tail lit on fire, she ran.
Warren leveled up!
"Good boy~"
* * * *
"Sorry about that. The Mudkip was claimed a few hours ago, and the torchic hates being alone." The professor said.
"No problem."
"He seems to have warmed up to you, no pun intended. Mind taking him, and going to meet Phoenix? I need to check in on the mudkip for the first week, and now is a good checkup time."
"Did I hear my name? Sup Sora." A blonde girl said, coming in. "Got a pokemon? Let's fight."

The first part was rushed because I had to go soon. Comments and the like are welcome! When a new chapter comes out the word Reserved will appear, and then commenting will not be welcomed until I finish. I got Phoenix's permission to use her in the story.
