I would have opted to more cleverly hidden eggs on pages that we can get to from links still available at anytime. IE, if a page is not linked to on the index, not in a news thread anymore (ie, if it was edited out), or if the page is available only on certain days, then it won't have any eggs hidden there.

Eggs not on certain pages =/= dynamic eggs.
Dynamic eggs would mean that you have to click them as you see them or they'll jump to another page. Saying that eggs shouldn't be on certain pages, means you simply exclude that possibility [like excluding the Premium Settings]
