Let's be real. Dragon Gem's colors needs to be fixed.

Not the sprite, but atleast the pictures on Gem Cauldron.

Let's compare.

This is a Dragon Gem.

This is a Poison Gem.

They look almost IDENTICAL, except that the Dragon one is a bit more blue, but still. Try to boil a Mega Stone. You really can't pay attention to the small difference of colors under pressure.

Basically, the Dragon Gem's colors could become a lot more blue, since it kind of looks indigo-ish and too much like Poison Gem's right now.

Sorry, but I don't support. They aren't that similar, and if you're paying enough attention, it shouldn't be hard to not make a mistake.

Those are the official Pokémon colours, though ^^'
If we make all gems easily to distinguish, there wouldn't be a challenge to it, in my opinion. So I'd have to say no support.

@Ignis you still can't pay that much attention during the Gem Cauldron minigame.

@CatLady isn't clicking on the gems who are all scattered around already the challenge though? Also, recoloring isn't that hard.

Well, I personally have paid that much attention, and I have severe ADHD, as well as anxiety, so I have a hard time focusing on things and don't do well under pressure. So if I can do it, I'm sure anyone can.

and i can easily distinguish gem color. though steel gem and dark gem is my little problem.

Having them scattered is part of the challenge, but it would be a lot easier if the hard to distinguish pairs each got newer/different colours, which would take away from the overall challenge.

This has been suggested before, as well as other things to help with a color difference, but nothing that most players have taken a liking to since they have no issue with the colors. While I agree to a slight hue/tint/shade change due to not being able to tell the difference between four gems, 90% of the posts most of these thread get are pretty much the equivalent to "suck it up."

Edit: However, here is one thing that hasn't been suggested. What if the dream world versions (scroll below the list of gems) without the backgrounds were used? It's still official art, you would still have to look for differences, but it would be easier on the eyes and those of us with problems via color.

I'm not quite sure how using the DreamWorld versions would help ^^'
Taking the images of the gems and putting them side-by-side doesn't make them any easier to distinguish than putting the PH-sprites of the same gems side-by-side. Is there some slight difference I'm just not noticing? Unless you're asking more for the size than for the actual sprite/image?

The thing with backgrounds is that they usually have a bigger influence than first suspected, so it might explain why I'm not seeing any difference when looking at the backgroundless images?

to be honest if you use the efficient way of collecting gems IE the royal tunnel and gem exchange you lose little resources anyway...

You actually loose a lot of resources, considering the Royal Tunnel isn't a gem cloud and actually takes some questios to give you gems.

@CatLady, the dream world versions while yes are larger and making it easier to see the differences, some are also slightly different in color. Light the dragon gem being more blue than a purplish blue. But, if the backgrounds would be accepted, I'd go for that too.

@Bloop, not every reads at the same speed, has the same speed of computer/phone, nor can everyone do a simple, timed quiz without panic. Just because you can do it does not mean that everyone else can as well.
