Soo...the swearing rule. Many people agree that there has to be a few changes to it.

People get warned if they post a link with one swear, or sometimes they event put a swear warning before the link.

For example, I once shared a funny tumblr link, yet I got warned because there was a swear that someone could only find by purposely scrolling further down the page.

Now, this is not directed to any mod, but cmon.

Atleast if there is a swear warning, or there is a swear that someone will have to purposely search for, we should't get warned.

Plus, kids are potty mouths these days. This super-enforced rule isn't actually "defending" much people.

Another thing, they could like "filter" swears, I already got locked for swearing in portuguese but some "famous" "that are mods friends" swear and they dont even care like
It isnt possible that someone in PH doesnt know what a swear is.
And a lot of people swear and doesnt happen nothing but the people with more warnungs or low popularity are commonly locked more oftenly by swears

I like this idea. Full support.

Once I got warned for swearing even though I purposely spelled the word wrong by leaving out a few letters. And I thought it was ridiculous that I was warned for swearing even though I didn't.

Support as well.
I think it's ridiculous that people are getting in trouble for posting links to like..

Let me use an example.
Let's say someone posts a link to a YouTube video. The video itself had no nsfw content whatsoever (so like, no swearing and such), but some comments on it a ways down contained a curse word, and the poster of the link got in trouble.

I find this completely asinine. It is by no means the poster's fault that these comments contained swear words, nor should it be their job to scroll through tons of comments to see if there is any swearing.
These are things the poster cannot control and should not be expected to watch out for, especially since things like comments on videos can be made anytime with anything in them.

I believe on Tumblr as well this can happen, such as when people like/share a post their usernames are shown below the post until they are bumped down, but some people's names contain swear words and since that list of names changes more or less rather frequently, it's impossible to control.
One of my friends got in trouble for that.

Hence forth I don't think it is very fair to warn people for things such as these. As long as the main content posted is clean, I believe no punishment should be given.

If you see that comments have swearing in it, then don't link to it? This is a child friendly website. No offence to all of you but you can say anything you'd like without the use of a swear word, it is possible. This site compared to some others isn't as bad, some have absolutely zero tolerance on swearing and how some people post on here you would have been banned really fast.
Unfortunately one word might not be a swear word where one user comes from but could be one in another country. You can't excuse one word because then other users will come and start pointing out other words that should be "excused", it's either none or all. It makes it easier for mods to monitor words like that instead of having to look through a list to see if it's a banned word or not. And blanking a word out or changing the letters is still swearing, it doesn't take much to figure it out. Just don't use the word and you won't have to worry about being banned.

Like I said before, you will have to intentionally search up for a swear on the comments when its just supposed to watch the video. If you intentionally jump on a lava pit, you will burn.

Now, if there is a swear on the video, then the person should put a swear warning so people can be aware of it. Like the metaphor I used before, putting a sign next to the lava pit with a phrase like ''Warning its lava you will burn'' will raise someones awareness, and they wont even watch the video-jump on the pit if they read the warning.

TLDR - You will have to intentionally look for a swear on the comments. Unless there is a swear on the video. But if there is, there should be a swear warning and user shouldt get banned.

Well you don't usually need to look for some of the videos I've seen posted on here, they are usually within the first few. If the video swears you don't put it up period to comply with the rule. Just putting up a warning won't give you a free pass to bypass said rule, just like putting symbols in place of other letters in a swear word won't stop us from reading it as a swear word.

Your warning is not a guarantee that people won't click on the link. Kids are curious, especially when it comes to things that they aren't allowed to have or see at home. The best way to avoid that is to have no tolerance for swearing. If you want to share a video with swearing in it go off site where you are free to do as you please, and not where we have young kids playing.

Personally I don't support this. If you need to swear that badly then you really shouldn't be posting it.

Its not our fault that kids were risen stubborn. They have been warned that there will be a swear on the video or comment. Its THEIR fault if they purposely go search for it and get offended.

Most of the time, it isnt US swearing (I actually agree with you on the switching letters part), but we get warned because there is a swear on a video or on a comment.

But it is YOUR fault for posting it in the first place that then leads to said kid to click on the link yes? Nip the problem in the bud before it blossoms to become something worse. I highly doubt the mods go through a video and search through hundreds of comments for a single swear word. They probably skim the first little bit and that's it. If you have users swearing in the first few comments then don't post the link and you won't have a problem. By posting a warning, you acknowledge that their is swearing in the video and make it that much easier for mods to spot the rule breaking, if you really think about it. Again just a warning in the link won't get you a freebie to break a rule here. The fact that you can even post links is pretty amazing, but you shouldn't abuse the privilege as it can very easily get revoked.

I get your point, obviously if the swear word is hundreds of comments in, that's not something you should be warned about.

Yes they may be very protected compared to how we were raised but again, it is not our call to expose them to these kinds of words. This isn't your kid to do as you please. Let their parents decide when they would like for them to learn these sorts of words, and then let them deal with the consequences.

See and I think that's fine, with the swearing being censored or beeped out. It's not saying it, you can't technically hear it, or you just got lucky and no one found it. xD

It's definitely a touchy subject, as the site is labeled as a browser game for all ages, and that means we have to dial back on some stuff that is normal for us. I know how hard it is not to slip in a minor swear word that I sometimes use on a daily basis and really don't consider a swear word. But that's life and life isn't fair. The rules are there to protect younger ears and if that means I have to proof read everything twice then so be it.

Just gonna say that nothing will ever be safe from swear words if there is commenting. You can't control what someone says on another site in the comments of a video. Espesially when we have the right to free speech and that site has no or few rules on swearing.

An alternate soulution would be reporting the user if the video obvious swears, comments that are innappropriate, or derogatory terms. They shouldn't get locked for something someone else said. And tell the user if it does, they might not know. After that I'd wait for the user to take it down. And if they don't then report them. (This is just my opinion and what I think would be the best course of action.)

I once linked a FNAF video but some dude linked a FNAF song (It's Time To Die) which is full of swearing and mods thought that I did it only to get kids to see swearing.

If that was the case, wouldn't I have linked the song directly?
