The Pokéheroes Gay-Straight Alliance

Welcome to the Pokéheroes Gay-Straight Alliance, a club for the LGBT community of Pokéheroes to come together and discuss topics of said community as well as provide love, support, acceptance and/or advice for those who might need them. This doesn't mean you are in anyway forbidden to join if you're straight; anyone may join as long as they're supportive of the LGBT community.

This club is meant to be a place for support and acceptance, not hate. With that being said, do not come to this club to cause drama or tell us things similar to how our "lifestyle is wrong". If you truly believe that, please keep it to yourself and out of this thread.

Please make sure you read all the club rules before joining and that you follow them at all times. Failure to follow the rules will result in warnings and may result in a temporary or permanent expulsion from the club.

Show hidden content
1. No Spam.
→ Please try to stay on topic and refrain from posting off-topic or pointless messages such as "Hey, how was everyone's day?" to keep the club as clean as possible.

2. No Drama.
→ This includes arguing with other users, flaunting religious views, saying how much you hate your life/family, etc. If a dispute is to occur between two or more users, please deal with matters privately.
2b. No Religious Discussion.
→ Discussions with religious aspects never end well and it'd be preferred if we could avoid them all together.

3. Respect every and all members of the club.
→ Don't pick fights or be rude to any member no matter what sex, gender, sexuality, age, etc. someone may be. We've all joined the club to be acceptable and supported to those similar to us.
3b. Respect the moderators and leaders.
→ If they ask you to correct your behavior or something similar, you are expected to do so.

4. No mini-modding.
→ Please refrain from doing the leader's and moderator's job.

5. Properly fill out the form.
→ Please type outside of the BBCodes and remove all notes. Post all forms here and keep them out of my inbox.
Kankri and I currently am the only ones capable of accepting members and please respect that we may not see the thread immediately to accept your form.
→ If you are rejected, there will always be a reason behind it and we will explain it to you.

6. Refrain from posting if you are not a member.
→ If you have no intention of joining the club, do not post.
→ If you have not been accepted into the club yet, do not post.
→ Acceptance.

7. Keep me updated!
→ Please let me know if you've changed your username so I can keep the member's list up to date. I'm one person and I can't notice everything!

8. Do not ask to become a moderator or co-leader.
→ If I feel you are active enough in the club and also have the maturity and grammar for the position, you will be contacted privately.

9. Password.
→ Please add the password "#LoveWins" in the password section of your form. This is not the real password and if you use this password, you will be rejected. The real password is the last word or phrase after the third arrow in Rule #6.

10. Rules
→ By becoming a member of this club, you hereby understand that the Rules may change unannounced and it is your responsibility as a member to familiarize yourself with the rules and keep yourself up to date. Any addition to a rule(s) will be color in red.

All of you are accepted, yes. ♥
Now for the first topic of discussion ...

How does everyone feel about people saying "That's so gay." or something similar?
I personally feel it's ignorant and annoying. There's literally countless other words/phrases they could have used instead of that but they use it anyway as an insult. It's sickening honestly.

Our society has lessened the meaning of those words to reduce its levy, people have become blind to what they're saying

Incredibly offensive. D< They're using "gay" as a swear word, and it's kind of the same reason why Christians dislike others using "God" as a swear word. The term "f*g" also offends me because it's an offensive term for gay people, and honestly, I wanna kick whoever created it. Actually, I'm pretty sure that the term used to be a non-offensive term that had literally nothing to do with homosexuality. And I think I'm rambling.

I dont like it too much

now if it was with a close friend who was actually gay and was definitely joking about it (Like vic for example, joking about how he might do something that would clearly give away the fact that he was gay, given that he is gay, and he's my best friend, it doesnt bother me in those cases)

But when i see stuff around the internet like "Hah, you're gay" or "Lmfao thats super gay bruh"

I just... They don't have any respect for other humans to be honest, and i do hate it when people misuse the word. It shouldnt be used in their context

and yeah im off to bed now, I'd get on my ipod to continue the discussion if its charged and i'll chat till im ready to sleep

All my gay friends here where I live refer to each other as f-gg-ts because they understand the original meaning, I don't because I still find it offensive

It's really just... Wrong.
Sure, it's something that doesn't quite align right with your sexuality, that doesn't mean it's "so gay" (said in an insult tone.) It literally means that you're insulting someone because they aren't the same as you.

I personally don't find it offensive but it is rude to any person who actually is gay. It's more offensive then they know, and it's fudging annoying when people say it.
